Aims to set out a commonly agreed framework for addressing the various problems associated with commodity production. In particular it focuses on soft agricultural commodities identified for coverage under the UNCTAD Integrated Programme for Commodities, which tend to be produced in developing countries and consumed in developed ones. This paper covers the development perspectives, as well as the interests of domestic industries and consumers.
