Case study on a Union Modernisation Fund (UMF) round two project. It funded a training programme, in conjunction with Ruskin College, for union officials and some lay representatives in the British maritime industry. It aimed to equip them with the skills necessary to represent members in the global market place and to play a full part in the development of the union’s international role.
