Closed consultation. Undertaken by DTI and the Welsh Assembly Government. First consultation URN 05/851 took place in March 2005. Both are part of the review of the Review of the Construction Act announced by the Chancellor in the 2004 budget. Proposed amendments seek to introduce a more effective regulatory framework through greater clarity and transparency in the statutory payment framework to enable construction companies to better manage cash flow and encouraging parties to resolve disputes by adjudication.
